We’re thrilled to share that Holly, one of our incredible Project Linkage volunteers, is featured in Ride Connection’s quarterly volunteer newsletter!

After retiring from a 40-year career as a social worker, Holly wasn’t ready to stop serving her community. Wanting to continue making a difference, she joined MFS’s Project Linkage, a program focused on removing transportation barriers for older adults and people with disabilities.

During the COVID pandemic, Holly began driving customers to medical appointments—and she never looked back. She now volunteers weekly, using her own vehicle to help folks get where they need to go. She works closely with the Project Linkage scheduling team to ensure every ride runs smoothly.

But for Holly, it’s about much more than just transportation. She goes above and beyond—contacting riders in advance, helping them into buildings, and offering a listening ear along the way. With decades of experience in social work, Holly connects with her passengers on a personal level, often asking about their well-being and living situations.

Her compassion and dedication shine through in every trip. “People are doing the best they can—sometimes they just need a little help,” she says.

We’re so grateful to Holly for her continued service—and to our partner Ride Connection for recognizing her amazing work.
